Post-renovation cleaning is not ordinary housekeeping. Fine dust travels into edges, tracks, trim, cabinetry and adjacent rooms, while new materials may require gentler products than older surfaces with established wear.
The cleaning should begin after active trades are finished, unsafe conditions are cleared and construction debris has been removed. Zenith can then assess the remaining dust and prepare a surface-appropriate scope.
Confirm the site is ready for professional cleaning
- Active trades and dusty cutting, sanding or drilling are complete.
- Construction debris, sharp objects and hazardous materials have been removed by the responsible trade or contractor.
- Utilities, lighting and safe access are available throughout the requested area.
- Wet paint, uncured coatings, fresh grout, sealants and adhesives have reached the manufacturer’s safe cleaning stage.
- Parking, elevators, loading access and building rules are confirmed.
Identify every new or sensitive finish
- New stone, engineered surfaces, wood, vinyl, tile, grout and specialty flooring.
- Painted or lacquered cabinetry, custom millwork and delicate hardware.
- Protective films, manufacturer labels and adhesives that may require the installer’s method.
- Glass coatings, specialty fixtures and appliances with specific care instructions.
- Existing damage, scratches, residue or defects that should be documented before cleaning.
Trace dust beyond the renovated room
Fine renovation dust rarely stays in the obvious work area. The walkthrough should follow the actual travel path used by workers, materials and air movement.
- High ledges, trim, doors, frames, baseboards and horizontal surfaces.
- Cabinet, drawer, closet and track interiors included in the confirmed scope.
- Stairs, railings, hallways and rooms beside the renovation.
- Window sills, reachable interior glass and floor edges.
- Accessible vent covers and exhaust-fan surfaces, without HVAC-system remediation.
Plan the handover and possible settling-dust follow-up
The final walkthrough should separate recoverable dust from permanent paint, adhesive, grout, scratching or trade defects. Zenith cleans compatible surfaces but does not conceal damage or promise that every construction mark can be safely removed.
In larger renovations, remaining airborne dust may settle after the first detailed clean. A later touch-up can be discussed when the property needs a presentation-ready handover or move-in date.
