You do not need to clean the home before professional cleaners arrive. The most useful preparation is to make the requested work accessible, identify the priorities and share any information that could change the products, timing or route through the property.
Zenith brings ordinary cleaning equipment and supplies. A short walkthrough before work begins helps the team confirm the condition, approved person-hours and the areas that matter most to you.
Choose priorities instead of trying to pre-clean
A realistic priority list is more valuable than hiding the home’s condition. If the approved time cannot cover every possible detail, the team needs to know which rooms and tasks must be completed first.
- Identify the two or three rooms that matter most.
- Point out grease, mineral buildup, pet hair or other heavier conditions.
- Separate must-finish work from tasks that can be completed if time permits.
- Tell Zenith about delicate, damaged or unfamiliar materials before products are used.
Create safe access to the work
- Pick up small floor items, clothing, toys and breakables that block surfaces or walking routes.
- Secure pets away from open doors, equipment, cords and products.
- Provide working water and electricity, plus entry, key, alarm or lockbox instructions.
- Confirm parking, concierge, elevator and loading procedures before arrival.
- Keep valuables, medications and private documents in a designated area the team should not enter.
Prepare interiors and optional areas only when requested
- Empty cabinets and drawers when you want their interiors cleaned.
- Remove food and loose items from a refrigerator or freezer interior included in the scope.
- Remove cookware and loose liners from an oven interior that has been selected.
- Clear window sills, counters and furniture surfaces that you want fully accessible.
- Discuss furniture before arrival; do not assume heavy items will be moved.
Plan for the first visit and the walkthrough
A first-time or deep cleaning usually needs more labour than a later maintenance visit because the team is learning the property and addressing accumulated detail. Recurring service becomes more predictable once the initial condition has been handled and priorities are established.
At the walkthrough, confirm what is included, what is excluded and what should happen if the approved time is reached before every lower-priority task is complete. Zenith must still contact you after the online estimate to finalize the booking.
